This guide walks you through creating and configuring your Genesis Fortune account.
Creating Your Account
Option 1: Email Registration

Click "Sign Up"

Fill in the registration form:
- Email address - Your primary contact email
- Password - Must contain:
- At least 8 characters
- One uppercase letter
- One lowercase letter
- One number
- One special character
- Full Name - Your first and last name
- Phone Number - For WhatsApp notifications (optional)

Click "Create Account"

Check your email for a verification link

Click the verification link to activate your account
Option 2: Google OAuth (Quick Sign-Up)
- Visit mygenesisfortune.com
- Click "Sign Up with Google"
- Select your Google account
- Grant necessary permissions
- Your account is created instantly
Selecting Your Role
After email verification, you'll be prompted to select your role:
Choose One Primary Role:
- Property Seeker - I'm looking for property to rent or buy
- Real Estate Agent - I help people find and sell properties
- Landlord - I own and manage rental properties
- Tenant - I'm renting a property
- Property Seller - I'm selling a property
- Surveyor - I provide property inspection services
Note: Your role determines which features and dashboards you'll see. You can contact support to change your role later if needed.
Completing Your Profile
Depending on your selected role, complete the following information:
For Property Seekers
- Preferences:
- Preferred property type (Apartment, House, Land)
- Budget range
- Preferred locations
- Number of bedrooms/bathrooms
For Real Estate Agents
- Professional Information:
- Agent license number
- Years of experience
- Service areas
- Specializations (Residential, Commercial, Land)
- Agency name (if applicable)
- Professional bio
- Contact Details:
- Business phone number
- WhatsApp number (for client communication)
- Office location
- Profile Photo: Upload a professional headshot
For Landlords
- Property Management Details:
- Number of properties you manage
- Preferred payment method (M-Pesa details)
- Business registration (if applicable)
- Notification Preferences:
- Enable rent reminder notifications
- Choose notification channels
- Set preferred contact method
For Tenants
This information is typically filled by your landlord. You'll receive an email to:
- Verify your account
- Set your password
- Review lease details
For Property Sellers
- Property Details:
- Property location
- Property type
- Asking price range
- Contact Information:
- Preferred contact method
- Availability for property viewings
For Surveyors
- Professional Credentials:
- Surveyor license/certification number
- Years of experience
- Specializations (Residential, Commercial, Land)
- Service areas
- Certifications (upload documents)
- Service Pricing:
- Residential survey rates
- Commercial survey rates
- Land survey rates
- Portfolio:
- Upload past survey reports (optional)
- Professional references
Configuring Notification Settings
Customize how you receive notifications:
Email Notifications
- Lead Updates - New inquiries and messages
- Rent Reminders - Upcoming rent due dates (Landlords/Tenants)
- System Updates - Platform announcements
- Marketing - Optional promotional emails
WhatsApp Notifications (Premium)
- Add your WhatsApp phone number
- Verify the number via OTP
- Choose which notifications to receive:
- Lead notifications
- Rent reminders
- Payment confirmations
- Maintenance updates
Push Notifications
Enable browser push notifications for:
- Real-time lead alerts
- Instant messages
- Payment confirmations
- System alerts
Setting Up Payment Methods
For Rent Payments (Tenants & Landlords)
M-Pesa Setup
- Navigate to Settings → Payment Methods
- Click "Add M-Pesa Account"
- Enter:
- M-Pesa phone number
- Account name
- Confirm with OTP
- Click "Verify & Save"
For Subscription Payments
- Navigate to Settings → Subscription
- Choose a plan (Free, Basic, MyGF 1.3, MyGF 3.2)
- Click "Upgrade"
- Complete payment via M-Pesa
- Subscription activates immediately
Configuring Feature Flags
Feature flags let you control which automated features are enabled.
Available Feature Flags:
AI Manager
- Enable/Disable: Turn AI automation on or off
- Automation Level: Low, Medium, High
- Use Case: Automated property management tasks
Rent Reminders (Landlords Only)
- Enable/Disable: Turn rent reminders on or off
- Channels: Email, WhatsApp, Push
- Schedule: 7/3/1 day intervals (default)
- Custom Message: Add personalized reminder text
Lead Scoring (Agents Only)
- Enable/Disable: Automatic lead scoring
- Auto Follow-up: Enable automated follow-up emails
- Follow-up Frequency: Every 6 hours (default)
- Score Threshold: Minimum score for auto follow-up (default: 60)
Maintenance AI (Landlords Only)
- Enable/Disable: AI-powered maintenance analysis
- Image Recognition: Analyze uploaded photos
- Priority Detection: Auto-assign priority levels
Financial Reports (Landlords Only)
- Auto-Generate: Automatic monthly reports
- AI Insights: Enable AI-powered recommendations
- Export Format: PDF, Excel, or both
AI Voice (Premium Feature)
- Enable/Disable: Voice-based AI interaction
- Language: Choose preferred language
- Note: Available on MyGF 3.2 plan only
How to Configure Feature Flags:
- Go to Settings → Feature Flags
- Toggle features on/off
- Configure specific settings for each feature
- Click "Save Changes"
Security Settings
Two-Factor Authentication (Coming Soon)
Currently not available, but planned for future releases.
Password Management
- Go to Settings → Security
- Click "Change Password"
- Enter:
- Current password
- New password
- Confirm new password
- Click "Update Password"
Active Sessions
View and manage your active login sessions:
- Go to Settings → Security → Active Sessions
- See all devices where you're logged in
- Click "Log Out" on unfamiliar sessions
Account Verification
Email Verification
Required for all accounts. Check your email inbox and click the verification link.
Phone Verification (Optional)
For WhatsApp notifications:
- Go to Settings → Phone Verification
- Enter your phone number
- Click "Send Code"
- Enter the 6-digit OTP received
- Click "Verify"
Document Verification (For Professionals)
Agents, Surveyors, and Property Sellers may need to verify:
- Professional licenses
- Business registration
- Identity documents
To verify:
- Go to Settings → Verification
- Upload required documents
- Wait for admin review (typically 24-48 hours)
- Receive verification confirmation email
Usage Tracking Setup
Monitor your feature usage:
- Go to Settings → Usage & Billing
- View current plan limits:
- AI searches used/remaining
- Agent connections used/remaining
- Current billing period
- Set usage alerts:
- Alert at 80% usage
- Alert at 100% usage
- Upgrade plan if needed
Troubleshooting Account Setup
Email Verification Not Received
- Check spam/junk folder
- Ensure email address is correct
- Click "Resend Verification Email"
- Wait 5 minutes between resends
Google OAuth Issues
- Ensure pop-ups are enabled in your browser
- Try incognito/private browsing mode
- Clear browser cache and cookies
- Use a different browser
Password Reset
If you forget your password:
- Click "Forgot Password?" on login page
- Enter your email address
- Check email for reset link
- Click link and create new password
- Link expires in 1 hour
Role Change Request
To change your primary role:
- Email support@mygenesisfortune.com
- Include:
- Current role
- Desired role
- Reason for change
- Support will process within 24 hours
