Monitor your feature usage and plan limits to ensure you're getting the most from your Genesis Fortune subscription.
Overview
Genesis Fortune tracks your usage of limited features based on your subscription plan. Understanding how to monitor and manage your usage helps you avoid hitting limits and plan upgrades when needed.
Accessing Usage Statistics
Dashboard View
Navigate to Settings → Usage & Billing to see:
- Current billing period
- Features used vs limits
- Days until reset
- Usage history
Quick Status
Your current usage appears in the top navigation bar:
- AI Searches: X / Y remaining this month
- Agent Connections: X / Y remaining
Tracked Features
AI-Powered Searches
What counts as a search:
- Each conversation with the AI property search
- Asking AI to find properties
- Follow-up questions in same conversation count as ONE search
What doesn't count:
- Browsing regular listings
- Using manual filters
- Viewing saved favorites
- Clicking on properties
Limits by plan:
- Free: 2 searches/month
- Basic: 50 searches/month
- MyGF 1.3: 200 searches/month
- MyGF 3.2: Unlimited
Agent Connections
What counts as a connection:
- First-time contact with an agent about any property
- One connection per agent per month (not per property)
Example: Contacting Agent A about 3 different properties = 1 connection
Limits by plan:
- Free: 2 connections/month
- Basic: 20 connections/month
- MyGF 1.3: 100+ connections/month
- MyGF 3.2: Unlimited
Other Tracked Features
Property Listings (for agents):
- Free: 3 active listings
- Basic: 20 active listings
- MyGF 1.3+: Unlimited
Automated Follow-ups (for agents):
- MyGF 1.3: 500 emails/month
- MyGF 3.2: Unlimited
WhatsApp Messages:
- MyGF 1.3: 250 messages/day
- MyGF 3.2: Unlimited
Reset Schedule
Monthly Reset
Usage limits reset on your billing date each month.
Example:
- You subscribed on January 15
- Limits reset on: Feb 15, Mar 15, Apr 15, etc.
View reset date: Settings → Usage & Billing → "Resets on"
Mid-Month Upgrades
If you upgrade mid-month:
- New limits apply immediately
- Reset date stays the same
- Previous usage doesn't count against new plan
What Happens When You Hit Limits
Free and Basic Plans
When limit exceeded:
- Feature becomes unavailable
- You see a notification: "Monthly limit reached"
- Option to upgrade plan
- Feature unlocks again on reset date
Blocked features:
- AI Search: Can't use conversational search
- Agent Connections: Can't contact new agents
- Property Listings: Can't add new listings (agents)
Still available:
- Browse existing listings
- Use manual filters
- Continue conversations with already-contacted agents
- View your existing listings
MyGF 1.3 and 3.2 Plans
Soft limits:
- System sends warning at 80% usage
- No hard blocking (features continue working)
- Contact sales if consistently hitting limits
MyGF 3.2:
- No limits on core features
- Truly unlimited usage
Usage Alerts
Email Notifications
Automatic emails sent when:
- You reach 50% of limit
- You reach 80% of limit
- You reach 100% of limit
- You're blocked from feature
Configure: Settings → Notifications → Usage Alerts
In-App Notifications
Real-time notifications when:
- Approaching limit (80%)
- Limit reached (100%)
- Limit exceeded (attempt blocked)
Upgrade Prompts
When you hit a limit:
- Clear notification explains which limit
- Shows current plan vs next tier
- One-click upgrade option
- Immediate activation after payment
Managing Your Usage
Optimize AI Searches
Tips to reduce searches:
- Use manual filters for simple searches
- Refine all criteria in one conversation
- Save good searches for later reference
- Browse listings directly when possible
When to use AI:
- Complex, multi-criteria searches
- Natural language is easier
- Need personalized recommendations
- First-time searching new area
Optimize Agent Connections
Tips to reduce connections:
- Research agents before contacting
- Contact one agent about multiple properties
- Use AI search to narrow options first
- Prioritize high-quality listings
Connections stay active:
- Once connected, ongoing communication is free
- No additional charge for follow-ups
- Contact same agent about new listings anytime
Usage History
Viewing Past Usage
Navigate to Settings → Usage & Billing → History
Available data:
- Daily usage breakdown
- Monthly usage trends
- Peak usage times
- Usage by feature type
Analyzing Trends
Questions to ask:
- Am I consistently hitting limits?
- Which features do I use most?
- Is my usage increasing over time?
- Should I upgrade?
Exporting Data
Export usage reports:
- CSV format
- Select date range
- Filter by feature type
- Use for expense tracking or budgeting
Upgrading Based on Usage
When to Upgrade
Consider upgrading if:
- Hitting limits 2+ months in a row
- Blocked from features you need
- Growing your business/search activity
- Need advanced features (automation, analytics)

- Compare to upgrade cost
- Factor in time saved with premium features

- Click "Upgrade Plan" in usage notification
- Or go to Settings → Subscription → Upgrade
- Select new plan
- Complete payment via M-Pesa
- New limits apply immediately
- No waiting, instant activation
