Upgrade Process

Step 1: Choose Your Plan

  1. Log in to Genesis Fortune
  2. Navigate to SettingsSubscription
  3. Click "Upgrade Plan"
  4. Review plan comparison table
  5. Select desired plan (Basic, MyGF 1.3, or MyGF 3.2)

Step 2: Review Pricing

Billing options:

  • Monthly: Pay each month
  • Annual: Pay yearly (save 15-20%)
  • Enterprise: Custom billing

Prorated billing:

  • Mid-month upgrades are prorated
  • You only pay for remaining days in current period
  • Example: 15 days left in month = pay 50% of monthly price

Step 3: Payment

  1. Click "Proceed to Payment"
  2. Choose payment method:
    • M-Pesa (recommended - instant)
    • Bank transfer (1-2 days)
    • Credit card (enterprise only)
  3. Complete payment
  4. Receive confirmation

Step 4: Activation

Immediate activation:

Mid-Cycle Upgrades

How It Works

Billing:

  • Charged prorated amount for current month
  • Full price from next billing cycle
  • Previous plan's unused time credited

Usage:

  • Old usage doesn't count toward new limits
  • Start fresh with new plan limits
  • Previous conversations/data preserved

Example:

  • Current plan: Basic ($20/month)
  • Upgrade to: MyGF 1.3 ($50/month)
  • Days remaining: 15 (50% of month)
  • Charge: $25 (50% of $50)
  • Next month: Full $50

Downgrading

Process

  1. Go to SettingsSubscription
  2. Click "Change Plan"
  3. Select lower tier
  4. Confirm downgrade

Effective date:

  • Downgrades take effect at next billing cycle
  • Current plan remains active until then
  • No refunds for unused time

Data handling:

  • Data is preserved
  • Excess items become read-only
  • Example: 50 listings on Basic (limit 20) → 30 remain viewable but can't add new ones
