Setting Up Your Agent Profile​

Step 1: Complete Your Professional Information​

  1. Navigate to Profile → Edit Profile
  2. Fill in your professional details:
    • Full Name: Your professional name as it appears on your license
    • Agent License Number: Your official real estate agent license
    • Years of Experience: Total years in real estate
    • Specializations: Select all that apply
      • Residential properties
      • Commercial properties
      • Land sales
      • Luxury properties
      • First-time buyers
    • Service Areas: Cities/regions where you operate
    • Agency Name: Your agency or brokerage (if applicable)

Step 2: Write a Compelling Bio​

Your bio is the first thing potential clients see. Include:

  • Your experience and expertise
  • What makes you unique
  • Types of clients you serve best
  • Notable achievements or certifications
  • Your approach to client service

Example Bio:

"Licensed real estate professional with 8+ years of experience helping families find their dream homes in Nairobi and surrounding areas. Specializing in residential properties, I pride myself on understanding each client's unique needs and providing personalized service from first viewing to closing. Member of Kenya Real Estate Professionals Association."

Step 3: Add Your Contact Information​

  1. Business Phone: Your primary contact number
  2. WhatsApp Number: For instant client communication (recommended)
  3. Email: Professional email address
  4. Office Location: Physical address (optional but recommended)
  5. Website: Your personal or agency website (optional)

Step 4: Upload a Professional Photo​

  • Size: Minimum 400x400 pixels, square format
  • Quality: High resolution, well-lit
  • Professional: Business attire, clear background
  • Friendly: Approachable smile

To build trust with clients:

  1. Go to Settings → Verification
  2. Upload:
    • Agent license certificate
    • Government-issued ID
    • Business registration (if applicable)
  3. Wait for admin verification (24-48 hours)
  4. Verified badge appears on your profile

Creating Your First Property Listing​

Step 1: Navigate to Add Property​

Click "Add Property" from your dashboard or navigation menu.

Step 2: Select Property Type and Listing Type​

Property Type:

  • Apartment
  • House
  • Commercial
  • Land
  • Room/Bedsitter

Listing Type:

  • For Rent
  • For Sale
  • Both (Rent or Sale)

Step 3: Enter Property Details​

Basic Information​

  • Title: Catchy, descriptive title (e.g., "Modern 3BR Apartment with Ocean View")
  • Description: Detailed description (500-2000 characters recommended)
  • Price: Monthly rent or sale price in KSh
  • Bedrooms: Number of bedrooms
  • Bathrooms: Number of bathrooms
  • Square Footage: Property size in sq ft or sq meters
  • Property Status: Available, Pending, Rented/Sold

Location Details​

  • Address: Full street address
  • City: City or town
  • State/County: County
  • Country: Kenya (or applicable country)
  • Neighborhood: Specific area/neighborhood
  • Nearby Landmarks: Schools, hospitals, malls, transport

Amenities & Features​

Select all applicable amenities:

  • Parking (number of spaces)
  • Security (24/7, gated community, CCTV)
  • Utilities (water, electricity, internet included)
  • Appliances (furnished, semi-furnished, unfurnished)
  • Outdoor (garden, balcony, terrace)
  • Building features (elevator, generator, swimming pool)

Step 4: Upload High-Quality Photos​

Best Practices:

  • Upload 10-15 photos minimum
  • Include:

    • Living room

  • Use natural lighting

  • Contact Preference: How clients should request viewings (Call, WhatsApp, Form)

Step 6: Review and Publish​

  1. Preview your listing
  2. Check for typos and accuracy

  4. Click "Publish Listing"
